ahhh...

went outside for the first time today to get the mail.

i stopped midway to smell the air, feel the chilly breeze, watch the trees wave hello. how nice. i look over and see my neighbors half naked, raking leaves. pretty fat ~400lb guys with farmers tans, bellies falling out of their helpless shorts. how cute.

it's only around 60 degrees farenheit here and that's cold in the south.

i love it.

i was thinking of how nice it would be if i had a winnebago or had the audacity to "borrow" one from a guy i grew up with. hot wire it off of his front yard, drive up to nyc and various schools in massachusetts to pick up some friends and we'd go nowhere, no destination. just drive.

keep the windows down. in the back, some would be sleeping and some would be complaining to close the windows, "it's cold in here! hey, does anyone have any decent cd's, i can't stand your music, melanie! can we stop off for some hot dogs? who wants to play truth or dare?! what's this empty bottle of vodka doing in the bathroom!? i don't have a license, but can i drive anyway? i didn't know you had a winnibago, melanie." neither did i.

money, food, clothes, a computer, dvd's, cd's, and not a care in the world. that'd be perfect. some tubes for cyphening could also be useful.

no plans.

just dreams. i'm obviously inside now, writing two papers due monday and studying for a major exam on tuesday.

but it really is a beautiful day.

'tis a sad day in melanie land

and all the minstrels cried, "wahhh"

so i am about to finish off my bottle of cabernet poppyseed salad dressing. i'm a really bad vegetarian since i rarely ate vegetables or fruit unless i had to; lived off of ramen noodles, coffee, bread and cheese last year. this dressing got me to eat salad, willingly.

i remember when my sister first gave it to me a few weeks ago. she had just come back with her boyfriend from visiting the biltmore estate in ashville, north carolina. she knows that i don't ususally eat salad unless i order it which was rare, so she bought me this salad dressing. i was pretty suspicious of it at first, but she said that it was really good. she's always right, so i tried it. HEAVEN. greatest salad dressing i've ever had. i've gone through a pack of salad each week since i got it; that's about 4. that's a lot of radiccio.

i found it online, but it comes in a pack with 2 other dressings for $19.50. is it worth it? i'm considering it, but i'll probably make myself suffer until i get a chance to visit biltmore myself.

ok; gotta go take my parent's patis (fish sauce) away from them; they're smelling up the house. they're going crazy, putting it on everything, even the dog food!

that's my wonderful, beautiful sister; she'd kill me if she knew i put this up.
